Hello Joel,

Glad to see such wonderful progress on CAELinux 2010 and look forward to installing it soon. I have a Quad Core PC with 4GB waiting eagerly for the release! I had not visited these forums for sometime and just wanted to drop a note to thank you and say you do wonderful and very much appreciated work!

Oh! I forgot to add (ask) will you be considering / including Salome 5.1.4 which was recently released?

(Wouldn't it be nice if the release cycles of all software would coincide with April/Oct deadlines of Ubuntu or if users would just stop pestering coders for updates! ); )

Regards,

I recommend using 2009 unless there is some problem or you already have 2009 and just want to test 2010.

There is no link, you need to use a command line with the ftp command or an ftp client like FileZilla. The information you will need is (from page 3 of this thread):

The ISO can be downloaded through FTP:

username: cae-linux
password: salome
server: caelinux.dyndns.org
path: distrib/caelinux2010.pre

Hi all,
I've installed caelinux2010, from the ftp.

i believe salomeMeca is working different.
it used to indicate aster calculation status, not anymore? mean those arrows and check marks bellow the case name.

also i used to create a case (not the wizards) and load a hand typed comm file. but when i click finish... it doesn't closes... pfff

all the cases and examples i did in caelinux2009, are not working.. pfff

is this normal? or is it just my installation?

I've formatted and installed, separate packs.
starting with ubuntu 10. and then salomeMECA and code saturne (even this one is quite different...).

its execution exactly the same, so i supose its normal. is it?

greetings

Both Code_Aster/SaloméMECA and Code_Saturne have evolved quite since CAELinux 2009 - it's a Good Thing®
SalomeMECA doesn't show anything here either when running a simulation, I almost didn't notice because I use interactive follow-up.
In regards to your 'old' cases, I think you have to get used to the fact that Code_Aster get updates from time to time, 10.x→ should be relatively compatible with it's predecessors though, but not 9.4 etc.

Code_Aster release : STA11.4 on OpenSUSE 12.3 64 bits - EDF/Intel version
