Ive tried 6.6 ( which is what I would like , and 5.1.6 , because the instructions were for , 5
and its beyond me to figure out why
Today im going to try , salome 2009 from this site ..
will see

i have had the same problem, salomè Meca works with old Kubuntu distribuiton (maybe since 11.04) when i updated my distro, salomè stopped to work, you can find some infomation in code_aster forum

(and ommit the 64-bit-only-part).
For me Salome6.6.0 is running: Mint, 14, Nadia, 64 bit (based on Ubuntu 12.10 Precise).
What does the log file say?
C-Aster 11.1 and 11.3 are running as well.

anyone using Openbox/fluxbox/blackbox as window manager?
i'm pretty happy with the performance of it in Crunchbang linux with only 108mb of ram used..so i'm just transfering some CAElinux's scripts/packages in my desktop to Crunchbang in my notebook..

Hi,
I am not a frequent visitor of this forum, but maybe this hint can help: has anybody looked at the "open build service" (or the public version of it on "openSuse build service")?
Here complete packages can be assembled and dependencies checked for most linux distributions! I hope it helps!
