Hello Joël
Thank you for answer.
I will test Launcher better and upload updated (probably more compact) package little bit later.
Testing is on my side, you'll just need to place it at /home for implementation
Agros2d is very good software for caelinux (from its philosophy), it has nice GUI and good examples.
Also I would include
tochnog.sourceforge.net/
and www.dolfyn.net/index_en.html
but I will try to ask authors first to make some initial preparation (what is most stable and well documented build and etc)
Regards

Dear Joël, and dear all,

Thank you very much for this excellent and very useful initiative.

However, the question of the list of software to include within the distribution could be tricky :
- does a DVD holds up to date version of all software included in CAELinux 2013 and Ubuntu 16.04 ?
- which software removal from CAELinux 2013 would be the less painful ?
- is there better new software to include in place of some software in CAELinux 2013 ?

Meanwhile, OpenFoam, Elmer, Salome-Meca + Aster MPI, ImpactFEM and Code-Saturne appear to be good choices.

Thank you again and best regards,

Francis

Hello,
do you think it's possible to include Code_TYMPAN?

Like Code_ASTER is developed by EDF and is used for all studies of noise impact of the EDF installations.

Details:
Language: C++
license: GPL3
Dependances: Boost, Qt, CGAL
Compilation: cmake
versionning: mercurial

All the information is available at code-tympan.org/

Thank you very much!

I have updated CalculiX Launcher for caelinux

sourceforge.net/projects/calculixforwin/...launcher4caelinux17/

there is 32 bit version for old computers + 64 bit for caelinux distribution.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I made significant progress over the week end and I will try to generate a first beta version for testing in the coming week.

It will include most of the software but no tutorials / wizards as it will take some time to update all that.

By the way, if you have suggestions about good 1st step tutorials to include or link to it would be great.

Cheers

@calc4fem : thanks a lot. I tried the previous one and it worked very well. I will update it with the new one.
