Yes. I tried it and the new AsterStudy module is much more usable now (many bugs have been fixed) and is a clear progress in user accessibility to Code Aster in my opinion. The only element that I would like to see is the inclusion of a 'script' block (similar to comments or variables) that would let you enter some python or custom commands as text from the graphical command editor without switching the whole model to text mode.

A last point that I would like to solve is to be able to integrate my custom MPI version of Aster in the list of solvers available in SalomeMeca... But I have not found where I can edit the list of computation servers.

i have 2 ssd sata disks 120 go:
-on the first one there are ubuntu 16.04 and CAE 2013 with grub
-on the second one i am trying to install CAE 2017/2018 from sourceforge.net/projects/caelinux/files/CAELinux2017/testing/

i will try today to disconnect the 1st disk and install CAE alone on my computer to see if it changes something...

if you have suggestions...

Another software that can be installed is Dakota

it seems intersting and is Open source .
