I try to install the beta version but the installation have stopped :
[/url]
i have 2 ssd sata disks 120 go:
-on the first one there are ubuntu 16.04 and CAE 2013 with grub
-on the second one i am trying to install CAE 2017/2018 from sourceforge.net/projects/caelinux/files/CAELinux2017/testing/
i will try today to disconnect the 1st disk and install CAE alone on my computer to see if it changes something...
if you have suggestions...

calculix for caelinux has been updated with v2.14
sourceforge.net/projects/calculixforwin/...launcher4caelinux17/
you may download 32 bit and 64 bit versions. since no 32bit caelinux, you can use any 32bit linux for cae
latest salome-meca available is here
www.alneos.fr/en/downloads/salome-meca-linux-32-en
(don't think that there are many users of 32bit but want to keep comparability )
Best regards

Thanks to all of you for the important feedback. As you have noticed, our website and forums where no more functional due to the phasing out of the reCaptcha service and we have now completelly migrated the site to a more modern base.
Unfortunatelly it is the only improvement that I managed to deliver until last time and CAElinux 2017 has not evolved yet. Overall, it is pretty usable but the misleading installation errors and some other problems related to the script used to remaster the liveDVD make me think that it is not sufficiently stable to promote it to a full release yet.
But for experience Linux users or for use in Virtual Machines like VirtualBox, it should work well.
I am now starting a new job as professor in mechanical engineering, which means that i will be certainly pretty busy in the coming months, so I might not be able to do much for the moment in terms of new release. However, in my new function, I will focus on the development of open source tools for optimization and additive manufactuing, so CAELinux will be in my official todo list !
I will keep you posted for further news on that forum.
