i confirm the problem of reading .med files in saturne . i tried to realize a mesh whit salome 6.6.0 that includes MED 3.0.6 libraries , and it can be read in " mesh quality criteria" script of saturne , it read correctly mesh and groups.
It is possible create the possibility of choose between 3.0 , 3.1 or 3.2 MED libraries at the moment of exporting mesh ?
this problem depend from other causes ?

i have to report other two problems :
- when i shout dow or reboot , the computer don't turn off , but remain on caelinux screen displaying " shot down/reboot" indefinitely. I have alway to reboot manually whit power button. ( whit 17.04 that i have also installed natively, this don't happen )
- at first start wifi don't works . So i run this two commands
sudo apt-get purge bcmwl-kernel-source broadcom-sta-common broadcom-sta-source
sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer
after reboot sometime it continues to don't recognize wifi , some times it works, sometimes the browser start but the loading of pages is very slow or don't start .

i don't know why i was working with saturne 4.2 , when in beta caelinux2017 it's installed code saturne 5.0 that support 3.2 med libraries

concerning the Wifi issues, it is probably a firmware issue. There are many variations of Broadcom wireless devices and you might find a solution on Ubuntu forums by searching for your specific model of laptop. Sometimes you have to specify some parameters to disable buggy power saving features of the wifi driver or else.. but it depends on the model. Unfortunately I have no experience with Macbooks so it is quite difficult to help you on that directly.
Have you tried with a regular Xubuntu 16.04 or another Ubuntu 16.04 variant if you have the same symptoms? I have not tweaked anything concerning drivers compared to stock version but sometimes repackaging might lead to unexpected problems...
Concerning Code-Saturne, indeed, I made sure that everything works together: Salome-Meca 2017 is compatible with Code-Saturne 5.0.4 version that I compiled. If you have similar issues in the future, you can export your mesh as CGNS from Salome and write the results as Ensight datasets, that can be loaded in Paraview or ParaViz module of Salome.
For the reboot, it might be a service that does not stop properly. Try to press ESC or [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [F1] kesy to see what the console displays... it might help troubleshoot the cause.

I see you are deep in release of 2017/2018 CAELinux -- hooray!

When looking at the next release after, take a look at using Debian with LXDE GUI; much faster combination than Xubuntu. There is the Lubuntu project too but it seems base Debian+LXDE is faster, a combination that leaves more CPU power for calculations.
Looking forward to the 2017/2018 release
