Hello,
just a quick update: CAELinux 2013 final has been release !
Concerning VBox, the ISO image now includes the guest additions for VBox 4.3.8 (latest release) so it should run well out of the box.

Joel, are you including 12.04.4 LTS version of Ubuntu in CAELinux 2013? This matters to me with my AMD A10-5800K APU machine and also a i7-4700MQ laptop that I bought specifically for running openFOAM.

Dear Administrator
I have started testing the Gerris in CAElinux 2013 on a HP Z800 workstation on which earlier caelinux 2011 worked well. Now in cae linux 2013 the gfs files are running fine with gerris2D command. However on running the gfsview2D command the gfsview2D command not found"" results if you try to run gfv file.
I have used the standard Rayleigh-Taylor instability case file.

What is the Helyx-os version and OF version you were able to get icofoam to run? My goal is to learn how to run a buoyantSimpleFoam problem with custom geometry.
Thanks,
Joe

Hi,
I downloaded and installed the latest distribution CaeLinux2013, in particular for use Salome-Meca and Code-Aster, I noticed that the solver Code-Aster V11 and also the following fail to solve a simple modal analysis of a cylinder and other simple problems in the transient thermal analysis, while the V10 does so without problems. The distribution is based on Xubuntu CaeLinux2013 and I read that it is unwise to make updates as they cause the malfunction of some applications of the suite (I did not do updates). I have not yet figured out if the malfunction is due to a change solver undocumented syntax of the command file [* .comm], or depend on other factors.
As evidence I have installed a recent version of Xubuntu14.04 3.13.0-62 with kernel-generic and package SALOME-MECA-2015.2-LGPL-2 malfunction which I stated CAELinux is confirmed.
In the next release will include all sources of applications CAELinux to make a possible rebuilding programs, if there are problems of this type?
