are you sure gerris is installed? i am pretty sure i have beta 2, and i cant seem to find it?? normaly it can be accesed using a terminal. gerris is most easily installed using the debian packages, evern i could do it, though i could never get gfsview to install as it tried to delete most of the files in my operating system. is it posible to use debian packages instead of rpm- or what ever its called, or is there a conflict in the file system, the pclinux looks the same. or am i just beeing stupid
thank you

Hi,
for sure, it is installed!!
I absolutely remember that it took me several days to compile it...
It is available in Beta 2 LiveCD and VMWare edition.
install dir in /opt (as 99% of the software that I have packaged):
/opt/gerris
To use it from command line (shell), you absolutely need to use the following shell: K-Menu (main menu of KDE) -> CAE -> Command Line Tools
In this shell all the environment variables are set correctly to use all the CAE tools that I have compiled in CAELinux.
PS: I must admint that I have not tested Gerris in details, but GFSView works (starts at least) and Gerris2D seems to run on simple cases.
PS: If someone is not sure if XYZ package is installed, just go in /opt and have a look at the directories, as most of the cae softwares are installed there.

Openmodelica
is available for Ubuntu. Can we expect it to be added some day?
