Great!!
Thank you for the news.
I have also heard about MBDyn: a multibody dynamics simulation tool... so the list of packages is growing for the future releases, just need to find some time to compile / test all this!!
PS: MBDyn is from www.aero.polimi.it/~mbdyn/

I'm the maintainer and one of the developers of MBDyn; it would be great to see MBDyn included in a future release of CAELinux. Please feel free to contact me or any other developer in case you need support.

yeah i have seen and used gerris and its really simple and well documented and every thing, however i cant get it to compile from source on my CAElinux - probably because i am to unexperienced in these matters, is there a way of getting synaptic to recognise debien distributions? CAE is such a nicer oporating system to Debian ( i.e. its a bit more user friendly) and i wold really like to be able to use gerris on it

In CAELinux beta 2, GERRIS is preinstalled : to use it just start the CAETools console (from main menu).
FYI I compiled it from source and it was really tricky to compile and install the necesary libraries (problem with pkg config not detecting the libs). And know I forgot the exact procedure...
So it could be much much simpler to use the version included in Beta 2.
