Do not worry Claus, I think is not easy. I am not sure what I am asking is possible in Salomè.
Maybe someone of Caelinux team could help me or consider the problem for software development.
Thanks anyway, ciao.

ciao Luigi
Visualisation of BEAM orientation is not possible in Salome. Since the orientation is defined in EFICAS, Salome doesn't "know" of it.

Dear Luigi,
It seems that your problem has a solution.
Indeed, when you use the ASTER module of SALOME, you have to edit de .comm file with EFICAS right-clicking on the aster file/file.comm in the object browser tree. Then, in the EFICAS windows, you have to right-click on AFFE_CARA_ELEM and select View3D. It is supposed to display the section and its associated trihedron on your model.
It is also valid to display shell properties.
You could try to read the EDF document U1.04.10 at:
www.code-aster.org/DOCASTER/Man_U/U1/U10410a.pdf
But personally, I can display trihedrons but not the section aspect.
Maybe it will be better with the next release...

Hi Filipe, unfortunately, with "wiew 3D" it does not work, as Johannes and Claus said.
Do you have any suggestions how to check if beam assignment in aster is correct? If I have a frame with a lot of beams, how can I check if section axes are correctly oriented?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Ciao, Luigi

Dear Luigi,
Could you post all the files related to our problem (particularly the .comm file that is missing in your previous post).
I will try to tell you more what I get and how I get it.
Thanks,
