Joel,
Fantastic! Seriously, I can't comprehend the amount of work that is involved with getting all these codes to work together in a straight-install - never mind a LiveDVD. It's a fantastic piece of work and I'll very much look forward to hopefully being ready to download it next week.
Many thanks again for CAELinux, and best wishes
Jon

Hallo Joel,
are you also considering to include XFOIL and AVL from Mark Drela, there both GNU GPL licensed?

Yes,
for aero / foils & flight stability you will have:
Xfoil 2.9.7, JavaFoil, AVL & Datcom+ ... I just added this yesterday!

Hello Everybody,
I cannot find several softwares in CAELinux 2009. I downloaded CAELinux 23 June 2009 and had no problem during burning the DVD and setting up the stand-alone.
I've just customized my Ubuntu in French.
Here is the list of softwares I don't have:
* Pre-post processors & CAD:
>> Tetgen
>> enGrid
>> OpenDX
>> CGX
* Finite Element solvers:
>> Calculix 1.8 (serious problem for me because I'd like to test it)
* Computationnal Fluid Dynamics:
>> Gerris flow solver
>> GFSView
>> Xfoil
>> AVL
>> Datcom+
* Multibody dynamics:
>> MBDyn
* 3D bio-medical image processing:
>> Voxel_Mesher
* Mathematics:
>> Gnuplot
>> Latex
Why do I have so much softwares missing ? Any idea ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Xavier

Please have a look at the "Getting Started" file FIRST !!!
Most of the programs that you list are command line tools and thus do not appear in the menu.
Also CAELinux is a distribution and thus does not tell you HOW to use all codes and do things: for this you should also read the official documentation of the software that you want to use. You will find most details in the "Getting Started" file and some Google search will give you the rest!
PS: enGrid is in the menu... and all other codes in your list must be run in a terminal.
