Hello Ewout,
you seem to have got along with the questions you asked some month before
*ggg
Could you please answer your questions you mentioned these times?
Facing a hard approach to SALOME-MECA / CAELINUX 2013 together with a new 64 bit lap,
UBUNTU 13.04 and some little LInux knowledge from SUSE's some 18 years ago I have to
struggle hard and would appreciate to find some paths that I could follow some steps
Also added some lines about my upto now experience with the questions.
So your questions were:
> - Is it correct that version 10.5 of Code_Aster is used in Salome-meca 2011.2?
Under UBUNTU 10.04 installed from CAELINUX 2011 live DVD I have in /opt an aster110
directory with NEW 11 subdir and in a separate SALOME-MECA-2011 directory an
STA 10.5 version.
Under UBUNTU 13.04 with SALOME-MECA-2013 only installation under /opt/.../tools
a Codes_aster_standalone_20131_public directory with STA10, STA10.8, STA11 and STA11.3
subdirs.
Are there any docs or infos about the what-is-with-whom-bundled-and-what-combination-works?!?
Your next one:
> -In the folder /opt/SALOME-MECA-2011…-x86_64/aster/STA10.5/astest i can only find the forma01 test case. > Will the test cases belonging to Code_Aster 10.8 work with this version of Code_Aster.
UBUNTU 13.04 with SALOME-MECA-2013 only same situation, only format01.
All of the versions in the /opt/.../Codes_aster_standalone_20131_public subdir have full test packages.
Did you succeed to run the 10.8 cases with 10.5?
And your last:
> -How do I execute a testcase for exampe 'forma01a' in salome-meca?
As much as I suppose it should work with as_run ... how did you realize it?
I think there should be added a small HOWTO (don't know yet the content but will try to realize one when I
got any further) in order to asure that the format01 sample works well in SALOME-MECA.
Thanky in advance for answers.
Have a nice day - Volker

Hello Volker,
Full test case package can be found in code aster standalone package, which can be downloaded from code-aster.org.
Beware that stable version is now code aster 11.4, which uses some other commands in the .comm file than code-aster 10.x.
Also salome-meca 2013.2 is available via code-aster.org.
test cases can be launched using astk. selection of the .comm file and the mesh file works often.

Just a small addition to Ewouts post; ASTK has a built in import feature for the test cases - see attached image.
