Static structural analysis for rotating wheel

Hello,

I am new in CAELinux and have a question:
is it possible to make static structural analysis for rotating wheel,
something like this:


If yes, than which module or application Of CAELinux I should use?

Code_Aster can do it.
I don't know if Elmer can apply a rotational load, but probably.

you can use ''Aster-inside-Salome'' (CAELinux) but you can also run it ''stand alone''.
''Aster-inside-Salome'' is probably easier to start with and at sometime it may be restricted in command you can apply within your command file.
C-Aster with ASTK is more ''flexible'' and hence a sligthly more difficult to use to start with.
But finally it is your choice.

Interest: structural mechanics, solar energy (picture at 'my location' shows too little pv panels)

Absolutely,
I suggest to install caelinux2013 in virtualbox.
Open Salome Meca (I installed the new release of salome-meca 2014.2, but you can also use the preinstalled version) and import IGES or STP, make the mesh and for last use Code Aster module (there is the Wizard for the static analisys).
The static analisys is realy easy to use.

but simple elastcity analysis it is not exactly what I am looking for.
I need to do somethink like this:

ie wheel from steel is rotating with 1000 RPM and where exactly will apear highest stresses (also value of stress)?
