Hi,
my name is Johannes Ackva. I am consultant engineer in Germany. I use Code-Aster (on CAELinux) since several years. I started to use it because of its' strong capabilities in Nonlinear Analysis which are much more powerful than in Nastran (another Code that I use). As consultant, offering services for Code-Aster (trainings, support, simulations) is part of my business. To visit my website:
www.code-aster.de

Regards, Johannes Ackva

I am also a mechanical engineering student (University of Windsor in Canada). I recently purchased my own computer and decided it shall remain free of any pirated content. There is a professor at U of W who strongly supports open source software (aka Dr. Dynamic). I have just begun delving into the world of open source computing but I like what I see so far. I would like to contribute to the development of CAE software but that is a long term goal (although not necessarily open source software).
