I had never imagined that the controller had various mode. Thanks for the information.

I read in detail the thread you were quoting. It seems that windows is unable to handle this setting.

Unfortunately I have an XP system as well as KUbuntu on this PC.

How will these installations respond to this change ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Ok, i tried the controller modification, but it doesn't help me to install.

However, adding the line "live all_generic_ide" was successful !

CAELinux is now installed and seems fully functionnal. I had to manually updated GRUB and use the same option on the kernel load.

I tried the tutorial n°1 of Code_Saturne and it worked just well, even in multiprocessor.

However, terminal display the following message:

[code:1]libibverbs: Fatal: couldn't read uverbs ABI version.
libibverbs: Fatal: couldn't read uverbs ABI version.

Another transport will be used instead, although this may result in
lower performance.

Normal simulation finish

As you can see, it does not prevent the simulation to run correctly. Was does this alarm mean ?

(edit 01/07/09): Solved it by myself: www.code-aster.org/wiki/

The HCA’s not found are about not finding any InfiniBand cards in the PC. Ignore these if an InfiniBand interface is not installed in your PC.

Therefore, no need to worry. :cheer:

Thanks for your help.
