can't run the analysis

can't run the analysis was created by Mads
Hi everyone
I followed this very well written guide, engineering.moonish.biz/store/books/FEAusingOSS-Ed2-Preview.pdf on hope to do FEA.
at page 16, it tells me to right click linear-static and run it. I right click, and press run - and nothing happens - no error message.
I did it a few times, to make sure I did it right, - I followed other guides, but always get stuck at running the analysis.
I'm using Salome V7_4_0 on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Any suggestions ? thanks in advance

Interest: structural mechanics, solar energy (picture at 'my location' shows too little pv panels)

do you get the output screen generated by C-Aster?
The one:
A new window will pop up and there
will be numbers flying around the
screen.
I am not sure whether you get an flaseur directory in your home directory with Salome-Meca (I seldom use the integrated Salome-Meca), otherwise have a look in the files in this diectory and report back with errors generated there.
