[SOLVED] hey,need help: <EXCEPTION> <PREPOST3_10> was created by Mihir
hey guys,
I'm trying to run a plate with hole model, but I'm getting this error [pasted below, also .mess file attached]. The command file I'm using is an updated version of a working file, for a plate without a hole case. Cant understand why the mesh is not being read now.
I've tried creating the geometry in Salome-Meca 2011.2 and GMSH 2.5, and exported the mesh as .med files. However, the same error is popping up when I run both cases.
I know this must be some really basic error, but I really cant proceed any further without help.

PS: I'm using a linux version, not a Windows version. I've seen forums discussing this error in Windows versions of CA.

Have you assigned the correct unit number (LUA) in ASTK (must be 20 according to your command file)? Have you set the correct state - D for data? Is the path to the file correct?

nothing wrong with your mesh - reading the mesh file ended ok for me.

Thanks for replying. I've been using the Aster module of Salome-Meca for processing, not ASTK. So i just had to specify the command file and the med file for the processing.
It was working that way till now. Should I be switching to ASTK?

That issue is solved. Its running with the ASTK solver, not the aster module in the Salome-meca, which I personally find really weird. Well, I guess all's well that ends well, lol.
Kees: your tutorial on ASTK really helpful.
Attaching the .med, .comm and .mess files for future reference [2-D plate system with a hole, fixed at the base(horizontally), its adjacent 2 sides can slide vertically, and loading happens on the top. I'm trying to emulate a tunnel-soil system, step by step.]
