Hello,

for sure a poly-surface can be turned into a solid... as long as it is closed !!

To do this, import your CAD file in Salome.
- Use the "What is" command to see what has been imported (surfaces? polysurfaces? solids?).
- Display the free edges to see if your surfaces need to be sewed together to close the volume.
- Use the Sewing command to sew the surfaces with free edges
- Once you don't have free edges anymore, this means that you have a close polysurface => to create a solid, use the Build=>Solid command

This should "normally" work, but with CAD import... you never really know!!
