SALOME not exiting properly and correction in preferences

Hi everybody

I don't know if it is a bug or not, but there seems to be some odd behavior when I exit from SALOME. Observing the shell console running in the background until the GUI finally appears, the messages stop at the following:
...
th. 3019479760 - Trace /local/palmco/SALOME2/GUI/T_EDF_15278/GUI_SRC/src/Session/SALOME_Session_Server.cxx [92] : Debug: File '/union/opt/SALOME-MECA-2007.1-GPL/SALOME-MECA/V3_2_6/PAL_V3_2_6p2/share/salome/resources/pal/SalomeApp.xml' is loaded successfully
SetSignal( Standard_False ) is not implemented...
th. 3019479760 - Trace /local/palmco/SALOME2/GUI/T_EDF_15278/GUI_SRC/src/Session/SALOME_Session_Server.cxx [529] : run(): starting the main event loop

When I try to exit from the GUI, the GUI disappears, but the console does not with following messages:

>>> Calling QApplication::exit() with exit code = 0
th. 3019479760 - Trace /local/palmco/SALOME2/GUI/T_EDF_15278/GUI_SRC/src/Session/Session_ServerLauncher.cxx [223] : Session_ServerLauncher::KillAll()
th. 3019479760 - Trace /local/palmco/SALOME2/GUI/T_EDF_15278/GUI_SRC/src/Session/SALOME_Session_Server.cxx [95] : Warning: QThread object destroyed while thread is still running.
th. 3019479760 end of trace
th. 3019479760 - Trace /local/palmco/SALOME2/GUI/T_EDF_15278/GUI_SRC/src/Session/SALOME_Session_Server.cxx [95] : Warning: Mutex destroy failure: Device or resource busy
th. 3019479760 end of trace

at which point the console remains, w/o exiting to command line. If I press Ctrl-C, I get:

KeyboardInterrupt
>>> Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/union/opt/SALOME-MECA-2007.1-GPL/SALOME/SALOME3/V3_2_6/KERNEL_V3_2_6/bin/salome/SALOME_ContainerPy.py", line 328, in ?
orb.run()

KeyboardInterrupt

Pressing Ctrl-C once more, the console windows dies...

Is this normal or is there something missing or something that I should run prior of using SALOME?

Also, I think that in File -> Preferences -> General, "/usr/bin/mozilla" should be replaced by "/usr/bin/mozilla-firefox" for the help files to work.

Many thanks in advance
JR

P.S.: Trying the LiveDVD on three different machines (all with nVidia cards), the video output is shifted 5-6 mm to the right (out of the screen area). This is easily fixable with xvidtune, but is there a permanent solution to avoid this hassle?
