upstream contribution & bugzilla was created by baud123
Hi,
Do you intend to keep this forum for bug tracking or have you planned to install a bugzilla ?

I suppose bugs about Code_aster & Salomé have to be submitted upstream ?
I've found the following urls for bugs submission :
- code_aster : www.code-aster.org/services/fiche_al.php
- for salome the forum is available : www.salome-platform.org/forum/
=> Can you confirm or update with relevant links ?

What about bugs concerning your packaging of the software ? Do they belong to this forum ?
Do your provide the src.rpm ? (at least for code_aster & salome)

BTW : I'm currently downloading the ISO for beta1, I think you forgot to give the link for the mirror ;-) (or I did not see it at www.caelinux.com/CMS/index.php?option=co...;id=14&Itemid=41 )

Hi,

your are right, the way of reporting bugs should be clearly stated:
1) bugs about Salome shoould be submitted on the Salome forums at www.salome-platform.org/forum/
2) bugs related to Code_Aster should be reported to www.code-aster.org/services/fiche_al.php , but if you are not completely sure, it's better to post on the forums first: www.code-aster.org/forum/index.php
3) bugs related to the distribution (Linux OS, booting, packaging, software configuration) should be posted on this forum. No bugzilla system is planned at the moment.

Concerning the src.rpm, there are no rpm's for Code_Aster / Salomé: these tools have their own compilataion/configuration engine and so the reference for the sources / installation are still the one that are published on the Code-Aster.org & Salome-plaftform.org websites. We don't intend to repackage this tools due to reliability concerns as well as the extreme complexity of the task (in my opinion...). The CAELinux distribution does not include modified code and Code_Aster / Salome have just been compiled/installed from the sources with the recommended procedures. Note that all the sources are still present on the CAELinux LiveDVD (you just need to decompress two .bz2 archives in the Code-Aster directory) so you can directly start developping / debugging the code.

Concerning the download, the \"mirror\" I was writing about is not really a mirror now, because it has become our unique source for downloads, and you are probably downloading the ISO from there (www.caelinux.net/downloads...).

Thank you for your usefull comments.
