paraview crash

Hi,
I installed CAElinux 2010 on my pc (a bit old I know that) then I removed OpenFoam and paraview from software centre to install the new version of them. but know the openfoam works fine but paraview is not working. when i run openfoam cavity problems, paraview gives the following error:

created temporary 'cavity.OpenFOAM'

Can some one please help ?
