Bending moment, normal stress, shear stress was created by Filippo Monari
Hi, I'm new to CAElinux, but i think to love it :).
I'm an architect/engineer, and it would be very useful for me to visualize the bending moment, the shear and normal stress.
Is there any way to do that?
Thanks

Hello,

The answer is probably yes, but some details of what, how (type of element) you are modeling would help in giving a more detailed answer

for example, if i have a concrete frame,is possible visualize the bending moment, shear an normal stress for the beam and the pillars?
Thank you

hello Filippo

about concrete: I have put an example of concrete with reinforcement (rebars) at
www.code-aster.org/forum2/viewtopic.php?id=14175
modeled with Drucker-Prager-Material and calculated nonlinear.

about stresses and so on: it is not included in that example. It must be done in a specific way for the element types which are used (MODELISATION='3D' and MODELISATION='BARRE' in the case of the example). You should study the docs U31401, U48101 (CALC_ELEM), U48102 (CALC_NO).

For a linear static analysis You must use the commands:

MECA_STATIQUE(....

CALC_ELEM( ..OPTION='SIGM_ELNO_DEPL'..)

CALC_NO (..OPTION='SIGM_NOEU_DEPL'..) -> stress at nodes

There is an introduction course for Salome + Code-Aster, see
www.code-aster.org/forum2/viewtopic.php?id=14150
where the basics are treated very thoroughly.

Johannes Ackva
