Hello everyone,

I am pleased to announce that Efficient software, loved by many (174 users to be precise), has been updated to version 0.0.6

It can be downloaded from engineering.moonish.biz/efficient/

Features of Version 0.0.6:

Added all three mesh types. Now user can select MED, GMSH, IDEAS
Added Beam Analysis
Added Axi-symmetric Analysis
Added Shell Analysis
TAB Element – can now accept and enter values in .comm file. This is used for Beam and Shell Analysis
TAB Boundary Condition – D.O.F (DDL) is split into D.O.F (DDL) on Mesh Group and D.O.F (DDL) on Node Group
TAB Load(s) – Added Force on Node

Download it, use it, break it, have fun with it and let me know you experience with it.

Happy FEAing :)

Cheers
Dharmit

Does it support Code-aster 11.4?
Or maybe springs, dampers and masses?
And multi-fiber beams?
Selection of solver? Mumps or petsc

However the main gain for most users is the support of the newest code-aster version

Hi Ewout,

As CAELinux is still 2011 and it still has support for 10.x, I haven't added support for 11.x. This is something I will be working on in the new year. I wanted to keep it such that lowest common denominator is satisfied.

Not at this stage, but you may never know :)

And that I am working towards.

Did you find Efficient version0.0.6
1. has ease of use?
2. easy to understand?
3. has negligiable learning curve?

Thanks
Dharmit
