Simulate glue setting between pre-deformed parts was created by Jakob Andersen
Hello Caelinux'ers,

I am currently facing the following problem in Code_Aster and I would love to get the input from the community on how to proceed. See the illustration below for details.

I have two separate parts that I couple by using the liaison command (face to body). Initially I only want the surfaces fixated relative to each other in the direction perpendicular to the interface. In other words; no friction between the parts. I then want to apply a known deformation to the parts (A).

Now here is the tricky stuff, that I have not been able to figure out from looking at the CA documentation and through browsing various fora.

Based in the resulting deformation (B ), I now want to introduce friction between the parts (corresponding to the glue setting) and remove the initial deformation condition (C). The stresses in the parts and the friction between them should then settle in a final equilibrium (D).

For this equilibrium, I need the resulting deformation.

Any insights as to how one should go about solving this problem (comm-file snippets) would be very much appreciated!

Thank you all in advance!

BR,

Jakob

Hoi Jakob

you ask a lot.
Maybe switch to C-Aster forum?

Interest: structural mechanics, solar energy (picture at 'my location' shows too little pv panels)
