Hi
does it exist e pre-post processor running under XP compatible with code aster (windows version)?
Actually I use alibre design free (a parametric windows based cad), to design geometry, save iges files in a usb key card and then import them in pclinux live dvd. If, in consequence of the code aster's analysis i want to modify the original geometry i got to restart my pc under XP, modify iges files with alibre then restart again with pclinux live dvd, run aster and so on....
Is VMWare version of caelinux a possibile solution?
PS: i haven't tried VWware version yet because i got a fat 32 windows partition.
Many thanks

Hi,
Salome works only under Linux. I haven't tried to install it under cygwin, which could be the only option, but I guess it won't be easy.
VMware is a really good option. You can shae you data via a USB pen. You can switch it on/off between the 2 systems via the VMware control panel. I use another old PC with linux installed and a samba folder.
Consider VMware requires a lot of RAM on your PC. Nontheless this way you could run both Alibre and Salome.
