I've found an other problem... I'll try to calculate my mass!
And I have just 648 kg more than the manually calculate! see the .comm and the mesh... Any idea?

J'ai un autre souci... ma masse calculée par code aster est d'environ 648kg de plus que ma masse calculée à la main... Une idée?

your units are (probably) not compatible:

terre=DEFI_MATERIAU(ELAS=_F(E=3500E6,
NU=.27,
RHO=2000,),);

I guess youngs modules is in MPa or N/mm2, and your density is in kg/m3 and I assume unit length is mm.
So change rho to ton/mm3, ie 2000e-9 and your mass will be in ton.
Or change unit length to m and E to Pa.

BTW: your frequencies will not be in Hz, but in sqrt(1000) Hz, or 1/sqrt(1000) Hz (or a factor alike) because of the same reason.

So: keep to ISO units and marslander will not fail (at least not because of stability issue due to mismatch of units, lots of other problems can be the cause of a failure as well).

My units are in meters (my tower is 8x8x9 meters) !
My rho=2000 kg/m² !!!
I work in SI, no?

your right.
Just paid too much attention to the x 10⁶ Pa and not to the 3500 in front of it.
I will try to run your problem later this week.

I got this as your total mass: 3.92196E+05 [kg]
at COGX, COGY, COGZ: 3.89200E+00 , 3.99076E+00 , 4.58699E+00 [m]

Roughly calculating by hand (omitting holes at the bottom):
Volume ~ 4*(8-0.8)*9*0.8 ~ 200 [m3]
Mass = 2000*Volume ~ 4e5 [kg]

Back to your question: do you miss 648 kg compared to your hand calculation?

I calculate by hand the real mass of the model!!!

Look :
Volume basis : 8 x 8 x 9 - 6.4 x 6.4 x 9 = 207.36 m3
Door : 1.2 x 2.7 x .8 = 2.592
Window x 2 : 1.7 x 2.2 x .8 x 2 = 5.984
Ventilation : .65 x 1.2 x 0.8 = 0.624
Roof : 2 x (7 x .25 x .3) + 2 x (6.4 x .25 x .3) = 2.01

VOLUME = Volume basis - Door - Window x 2 - Ventilation - Roof = 196.15 m3

Mass : 2000 x VOLUME = 392300 kg

Oh... I found only 104 kg in more than the automated calculation!!!

So ... I think it was a mistake for 648 kg... (we were 2 to calculate it by hand!!!)

So there is an error of 0.026 % !! it's nothing!!! :)

I try to simulate a seismic aggression on my model of tower built in earth. I'd like to see the displacement on the post-pro, and to see the stress on the wall!

The purpose of my school study is to proof that the earth building structure needs reinforcement (geotextile) in seismic zones.

But, as you can see, I can't succeed now... :( I don't understand why DEPL is not calculated... :(

Any ideas? Any help??

Bonjour, j'essaye toujours de simuler mon modèle de calcul d'une tour au Maroc en zone sismique... Pour l’instant je bute toujours...

Mon projet d'étude est de justifier la résistance d'un mur en terre crue au Maroc avec ou non un renforcement par géo-grille... Il faut justifier en calculant les déplacements et les contraintes dans les murs pour voir l’utilité ou non d'une telle géogrille!

Mais à l'heure actuelle, à part des erreurs de calculs ou des blocages du système, je n'avance pas... :(

personne n'a une idée???
