hoi Ewout
and also the 'commands' CALC_ELEM and CALC_NODE do not exist anymore in version 11.3.+ (I donot know exactly where the switch has been made. Use CALC_CHAMP in stead in the latest version.

I found a presentation describing the new features in Code_Aster version 11:

What is the difference between:
sigm_elno and sieq_elno?
I suspect that sigm_elno is a structure containing the stresses in multiple directions and i know that sieq is the von mises stress.
Is this correct?

Hello Ewout,
see the documentation:
www.code-aster.org/V2/doc/default/fr/man_u/u2/u2.01.05.pdf for SIGM_ELNO and
www.code-aster.org/V2/doc/default/en/man_u/u4/u4.81.04.pdf for SIEQ_ELNO
Best regards,

Hello Kees, Hi Ewout, Hi all,
came from another very easy sample and found that CALC_ELEM and CALC_NODE
do not work anymore.
Argued that CALC_CHAMP would be the replacement but wasn't sure about.
Other replacements that I found in a posting seem to be
SIGM_NOEU_DEPL >> SIGM_NOEU
EQUI_ELGA_SIGM >> SIEQ_ELGA
EQUI_ELNO_SIGM >> SIEQ_ELNO
My question:
Is there ANY kind of document that describes such IMHO severe changings
in detail and over the whole capabilities of ASTER?
Its hard to work just by guess, trial and error ...
Thanks in advance
Regards - Volker

Hello Volker,
unfortunately (to my knowledge) no such file exists where you can directly see how the keywords translate into the new version.
Also some keywords also compute different entities compared to V10, so there can't be an easy "translation".
The best advice is to READ the documentation of CALC_CHAMP (www.code-aster.org/V2/doc/default/en/man_u/u4/u4.81.04.pdf)
and see what keywords you need to get your desired entities.
Best regards,
Richard
