Hello all.

I am new to this community and starting to explore the functionalities of code-aster.I would really like if anyone could help me to provide some help in acoustic modal analysis.I am trying to perform modal analysis on simple acoustic problems for 2d and 3d test cases.I would be pleased if anyone could help me out with certain examples or .comm files.Would really appreciate your help.

If you have the original Code_Aster installed, you'll have a folder named /op/aster/STA10.1/astest - there are a couple of thousands of test cases, grep'ing for char_acou gives the following .comm files.

ahlv100 a-f-g-h-i-j-k-m-q-r-s

The test is described here:

I know nothing of acoustics so I can't help you any more :)

Hello Nicolas

I am a beginner( débutant) in code_aster. I am just following the documentation and trying to solve the exercises done. Then i also try for other geometries too.
Till now i did the sloshing modes of rectangular basin. Mode shapes of acoustic cavties like rectangular and circular.
If you have doubts regarding these then i could help you as much i know.

Hello Ashraf,

I guess you could help me anyway, for now I've installed Salome-Meca in my laptop that has Ubuntu 10.4 and I don't know where to find the info related with the acoustic simulation (I don't know french..).
