analisys of an assembly was created by Xys
Hi. I'm new to FEA in caelinux. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to analyze an assembly of few parts (structural analysis)? If yes, are there any limitations?

The only limitation is that there are not wizards to do it, so you have to edit the command file by yourself. If you go to the wiki of Caelinux, you will find a tutorial that I made, regardind the analysis of the frame of a little press. note that in that analysis contacts between bodies are investigated in a very simplified way (linear analysis, without treatment of contacts).
Just one thing: it is very easy, using a 32 bit platform, to reach the memory limit of the operating system, so it is better to pass to a 64 bit system if the need of complex analysis arise.
Good luck.
