How can i simulate the Temperature of a concrete plate with water pipes (for cooling) in it (only stationary)? I know the water temperature, the room temperature and the heat transmission coefficient in W/m2K. Can I do that with Code_Aster?

I believe you wouldn't even need the transfer coefficient...just plop in the model of the concrete plate, make a group for the face touching the room temperature and make a group out of where the pipes would be...when you go to do the linear thermal analysis, set temperatures for those groups and run it.

Thank you for your reply. I'm rather new with Salome, therefore my questions are simple:) My goal is a comparison between the plate with pipes in it and the plate with a e.g. aluminium profile bonded on it at one surface. How can I calculate with different material properties? Shouldn't I calculate with the heat transmission coefficient to simulate the interaction of the plate with the room temperature?
