Problem with CaeLinux2008 was created by Fabio
Dear all,
I'm new of CaeLinux, I've got the live dvd of caeLinux2008 and I'm trying it.
I've done the piston example.
After this example I've imported a mesh from another mesher and I'm trying to create a model.
When I load the code_aster module and I active the linear static wizard Ican choose to work on meshed model, I set up the material, and I set up the constraints panel but, after that I CAN'T set up the pressure (or Load) and I arrive directly to the module to run the analysis.
Is this a bug or I'm wrong?
thanks a lot.
Fabio

Hi,
in fact, you need groups of faces (or nodes) to apply loads in the Wizard. So first, create the groups in the mesh module and then they should appear in the list in the Wizard...
Sometimes, the imported mesh does not contain 2D face elements, which can prevent you from defining certain type of boundary conditions in Aster... you will then need to recreate 2D faces to apply pressure or any type of surface-based loading.

Ciao,
I've create group/set of node on wich I want impose constraints and pressure (really I would like to impose load but, I think pressure on one node means load, isn't it?), but after the DoF panel I haven't a pressure panel as per tutorial and documentation of code_aster.
It's very amazing!
Thanks a lot,
Fabio
