great, thanks for the tips. I've been through the tutorials on the wiki site here and I kinda got the feeling that maybe the connection between salome and aster was a new feature. I'm just happy to have some free FEA code that is robust and industry ready. Did everything go well with you install? Did you run any of the code-aster test cases to verify the build?
