New FE Analysis icon was created by phsieh2005
Hi,
I played with caelinux some more and really loved it. Thanks!
I love code_aster so much, so that I installed code_aster on my SuSE 10.0 system (still having trouble installing Salome though).
I am wondering about the \"New FE Analysis\" icon. How do I create it on my SuSE system? Does it convert the med format to comm format? Where can I get the template files (linear3D,... stuffs)? Is there any template for nonlinear hyper-elastic model?
Thanks again for the great tool!

Hi,
the New FE study icon is a link to a simple Python/TkInter program that we have developed to simplify the process of creating ASTK profiles and basic COMM files. All the necessary files (except python ) are in /opt/helpers directory of CAELinux and should be copied in the same directory in order to work properly without editing the scripts.
For the moment, there is no non-linear analysis template, but it is planned to add several templates for plasticity / contacts etc... But for the moment, we are mostly preparing Beta 2 version of the liveDVD.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply!
I will be \"im-patiently\" waiting for the beta2 liveDVD and more templates.
