Aster problem on FC3 (Not using CAElinux)

I have installed Salome 2.2.2 and Aster 8.2 on a machine running FC3 and am going through the Piston tutorial.

After editing the FE model, when I click on Run in ASTK, nothing happens. I can see a job being added to the ASJOB window, but nothing else happens.

Would it be something to do with the configuration and how can I troubleshoot? Any pointers appreciated.

I have attached the last part of ~/.astkrc/log.astk if its any use.

Regards,

Venkat

Hi,

some questions:

What happens if you push the update button in the asjob window?

What happens if you write \"ssh localhost\" in a shell?

Hi Torsten,

Thanks for the assistance.

The problem was due to the \"Disallow TCP Connections to X server\" in the Gnome Display Manager settings - changing it fixed the problem.

Aster is working great now!!
