Problem with Salome mesh??? was created by Teresa Sánchez
Hello everybody,
I am trying to simulate a mechanical piece with 1d,2d and 3d elements where I impose a pressure over a determined zone. This zone is defined in Salome as a face group. But when I try to solve the problem with Code-Aster I obtain the following error message:
LES MAILLES IMPRIMEES CI-DESSUS N'APPARTIENNENT PAS AU MODELE ET POURTANT ELLES ONT ETE AFFECTEES DANS LE MOT-CLE FACTEUR : PRES_REP
However, if I impose on this zone a ddl_impo condition everything is ok.
Does anyone know a reason for this?
In this link you can find all the files:
correoweb.usc.es/horde3/imp/attachment.p...0496&f=inter.rar
Thank you very much for your help.
Regards,
Tere.

Hello,
the message means that the 2D faces used in PRES_REP are not part of the FE model => these faces have not been assigned a model in the AFFE_MODELE command. You should add this group of faces to the GROUP_MA keyword of AFFE_MODELE (select model=3D)
The explanation is that Aster need that the 2D faces are part of the model to be able to integrate distributed stress contributions (2D face elements are used to calculate the 2D shape functions used in the integrals). But the face elements are not required to impose displacements...

Hello Jöel,
thanks for your answer. If I have understand it well, when a model has 2d and 2d elements, that is, 3d and DKT, do I have to indicate the 2d faces elements in the AFFE_MODELE command, although I have included the corresponding 3d group? Is this due to the presence of pure 2d elements?
I have already solve other 3d problems and there were not any problems.
Regards,
Tere.
