Saving settings of caelinux was created by Wee-Beng TAY
Hi,

I am new to this live cd stuff. May I know if it's possible to save setting when using the caelinux?

I installed some add-ons for firefox but when I restart, everything is gone. Is there anyway to save the settings for firefox and some other software?

Thanks!

Hello Wee-Beng TAY,

The idea of a Live-CD is somewhat like "Try before you Buy" so it does not readily have a means of saving any data because the media you are loading from (CD/DVD) could be read only!

There are ways around the problem, but not for a beginner and they are too complex for me to list in this email.

I suggest you install CAELinux on a clean spare hard drive after disconnecting your existing one, just to be safe - as beginner.
