Hi all,

I am currently running under CAELinux 2009, and I'm very happy with it. The thing is I'm gonna have a more powerful computer for my CFD computations, and I have to install the latest versions of Ubuntu and different CFD softwares (something like building my own CAELinux with the latest versions).

I want to install Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04 LTS 64 bits (as I will have 64 bits processors), with Code Saturne 2.0-rc1, as well as Salome (the latest one, I don't know yet which number it is), Paraview 3.8, and Syrthes (here again I'm not sure about the latest version).

Did someone here already have such an installation ? I'm asking before starting it, to know if there are some 'incompatible' versions between softwares, communication problems between some versions, known bugs with the latest versions, ...

If someone already did this kind of research, I would appreciate if you could give me some advice about how to install all this, or at least if you encountered some problems during the installation and how you resolved them.

Thank you very much in advance !!

Hi,

I have done a beta release of CAELinux 2010 with all the tools you need apparently:
see caelinux.com/CMS/index.php?option=com_jo...=6&limitstart=12

You can try it first if you want

Just let me know if you encounter some problems
