Question about permission was created by Juan José Jiménez de Cisneros y Fonfría
Dear friends,
I have a problem in my Caelinux installation. I'm working with Salome-Meca, but when I want to save I can't because I have no administrator permission. Software ask for administrator permission, but I don't know what's the matter.
I have another question: what's the difference between Salome and OpenCascade?
Thank you very much,
Juan José

Hoi Juan José
Please check the directory you are saving to. Normally Salome-Meca will be installed in a root directory (I guess) so if you are saving directly there you cannot; unless you have root permissions.
So it is better to save your files to a directory under your home (/home/<username>/any/directory/). Then you should be able to save.
Salome uses and is based on the OpenCascade 'engine'.
