graphical card problem was created by laurent
Hello,
I am using CAE linux (2008 version) on a Dell C600 Laptop (too slow but it's running !).
All is working perfectly, i have only a problem with graphical view in salome-meca.
When selecting "shading wiew" of some pieces, some strange things appeared. see the snapshot!
Any idea to solve this problem ??
Thanks for the help
Emmanuel

It was a good laptop in 2000, but that's not a lot of computer to run engineering software on. When you buy a new laptop or a used one, you might look for one with an dedicated Nvidia GPU, and Core2 dual core too.

Since you're a masochist and insist on running FEA on that craptop
you should install the FGLRX driver for you ATi gfx card - that might solve your problem.
