How to Install CAELinux 2008 on USB HDD ? was created by Dr. Sukumar Baishya
Hi all,
My laptop (Acer travelmate 4150)running Fedora 7 has a damaged combo drive, which has made it difficult to install CAELinux 2008. I have acquired a USB 2 HDD with 3 partitions. I want to install CAE Linux on one of the partitions of this USB HDD from another machine (say "box2") having a DVD drive. Kindly help me by explaining how to do this. My box2 has dual boot with WinXP and Fedora 8.
I have gone through the post by Admin to install PCLinuxOS from Windows using UNetbootin. However, I do not want to try it fearing possible change in MBR which may destroy my dual boot image in box2.
Thanks for help in advance
