Problem installing CAELinux on new Hard disk was created by johannes ackva
hi,
I try to install CAELinux on a new S-ATA 2 Hard disk which I installed as a second hard disk. Booting from the LiveDVD works fine. Then I press the button \"Install PCLinuxOS\". Going onto the disk partitioner I find only the partitions of my old hard disk. I can't find at all my new hard disk. Partitioned the new hard disk before under Windows (FAT32) nothing changes. I can't find the new HD in the partitioner. What must / can I do?? Thanks in advance for an answer.

I add here the fstab-file
in the hope it can help to find the cause.
sda1 is my usb-stick. sdb1, sdb5 partitions of my old scsi-harddisk. Regards, Johannes

Ok,
from this it seems clear to me that unfortunately your SATA controller is not yet supported by CAELinux Beta 3a kernel.
I am currently working on CAELinux 3b which will include an up-to-date kernel & drivers (current version of CAELinux still includes a kernel that is one year old!!).
This next version will be very close to PcLinuxOs 9.3, so if you want to check the support of your harddisk in the next version of CAELinux, you can download and try this distro.
See
www.pclinuxos.com for more information.
Sorry for this problem.
PS: CAELinux Beta 3b should be ready within approx. one month.
