Problem booting from USB was created by Harald
Hello
I would like to test the new distribution of CAE Linux 2020. Unfortunately i don't get it running.
I prepared an USB Stick with ventoy how described in the getting started file. Then I copied the iso on the stick. I checked the checksum, the iso is ok.
I get the ventoy boot menu, I select CAE Linux 2020 - but nothing happens, only a black screen. I tried the normal mode, compatibility mode etc - nothing works.
To test ventoy I copied also Manjaro Iso and Kubuntu Iso - both boot without problems.
I have a brand new Asus Vivobook. Secure and fast boot are disabled.
What can I do?
Thanks for any help, Harald

Hello
Sorry for this issue.
My first guess is that it relates to graphics driver/display detection problem. The most common fix is to try to add the 'nomodeset' option to the kernel parameters when you boot.
See this page for more info:

Sometimes it is also just related to screen backlight that is turned off. Just pressing the function keys to increase screen brightness can fix this.
I hope it helps.
