Hi all,
Specifically, I want to upgrade FreeCAD 0.18.4 to 0.19. The new TechDraw package has some very useful new features. Can I do this without breaking the system and what is the best method to proceed?

Hello, Gary,
I believe using 0.19dev or the realthunder's 0.19 fork in AppImage format should be safe.
Actually you'll be able to keep 0.18 installed.
