Startup program locks up. was created by Michael Hogan
OK, maybe my system is too new. I am trying to install CAELinux 13 onto a 60GB SSD with an mPCI connection (which my computer didn't have) that's in an adapter to a SATA port. My install disk is in my Samsung SuperWriteMaster DVD/CD read/record device.
In BIOS, I have now set up my CD/DVD drive to be the first boot device.
The DVD is in the drive
I restart
Here's what happens:
The option screen shows up, and I can U/D arrow to the option I want. I selected both the <install> and the <memory check> options and it froze both times, having to do a hard boot after each.
My system:
uP - AMD FX 8-core 8350
MB - GigaByte 990FXA-UD3
RAM - Fury - 32GB
So I guess the question is; "Why is my PC locking up, and what do I need to do to get CAELinux 13 installed on my 60GB SSD?".
Thanks,
Mike
