CAELinux Install Time was created by Kevin Harper
Hello!
I couldn't find a direct answer through searching the other topic posts. I am installing CAELinux 2013 on it's own 1TByte drive. It progresses to a point where it seems to stall or is taking a very long time. I have let it go overnight. I am not certain but it may be formatting the drive first. Is this what I should expect? Thanks in advance!

Hi rammstan, thanks for the response.
I checked the md5 on the original download and it was fine. I have read that there may be issues with partitions on the drive. No detail on that however so not sure what they meant. It may mean I have to format the disk manually while booted with CAELinux live boot then do the install.

Yep, i think it's the best way.
I formated with ext4 and it was okay.
If possible develop the arrow in the install window and look at the log

Hi rammstan,
What does "Develop the arrow" mean? I ran the selection of the partitions etc in the installer but not sure they were really formatted etc when they show up there. I just need to get the time to format the drive manually it seems. I haven't done that in Linux before.

When the progress bar appears during the installation, cou can develop the logging installation and the terminal will appear. When it stucks, give me the error message.
