Hello to everybody,
finally CAELinux 2013 has been finalized and released today!
here is just a copy of it's annoucement for your information:
Although seriously delayed, we are pleased to announce our new release CAELinux 2013
CAELinux 2013 is based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64bit distribution and contains a unique suite of open source simulation tools for FEA, CFD or multiphysics simulation but also a large panel of other engineering software for CAD-CAM & 3D printing, electronics, mathematics & programming . CAELinux 2013 represents a complete rebuild of the distribution with up-to-date software for a better support of modern hardware and a significantly enhanced ease of use, and we hope that you will enjoy it.
This release is available in the form of an liveDVD ISO image for AMD/Intel 64 bit CPUs that can be burned on a DVD or installed on a USB key for "mobile" use and testing and then installed on hard-disk for best performance. A virtual machine image for use on Amazon EC2 (standard and cluster instances) is also available.
The features / programs included in CAELinux 2013 distribution are the following:
I hope that you will appreciate it !
And sorry again for the long wait.

Congratulations on finishing it - I think fairly few of us appreciate how much work it really is to create a distribution
now... where are all the custom scripts so I can use them on OpenSUSE ?

Hi Claws,
Thank you as well for the help on the forums!
You are right, the next step is now to cleanup my packaging "mess" and publish the source and scripts... Stay tuned for the updates.
However I have a very busy agenda until mid April so it may not come very soon.
Cheers
Joel

Calculix 2.6 does not seem to be working. CCX_2.5 and CGX_2.5 do work.

Hello,
Could you be more specific? How have you tested it and what fails exactly?
It would really help me to fix this .

Joel,
Thanks for responding. I sent you an email with screen data showing my attempt to find the 2.6 executable.
