				Dear Joel,
best compliments for your great work with Caelinux! I am testing your great GUI for Calculix...excellent work, as always!
mgrassi has been faster then me in asking about STRI35 element type, which it should be an abaqus element type for thin shells. How many face element group I can make with X_ prefix to have them automatically removed during conversion?
Thanks a lot in advance!
ps. ...my ancient recipe of baked pasta and potatoes is waiting for you also...

				Hi Joel,
how will the *.exo file generated? Directly from the solver or translated from *.frd?
Is there a way to translate frd2exo separatly?
Thanks you for your work!

The exo file is directly created by Caelinux if you installed Caelinux using the installer provided by Big Joel (it is my highly advised way). Just notice that the thermal results are not transaled.

				Hi Marco,
I use on another machine a different version of ccx and would like to translate the results into exo or vkt.

				Hi Alex,
if you use a windows machine you can try the free program vtkpost (I tryed it and I had some error) or you can buy the commercial package by bconverged (very cheap).
But we are caelinux fans so those are not my advised solutions.
Best solution: Just get a (used, old) 64bit pc and install caelinux. Or find a friend who uses linux.
2th choise: use caelinux on a virtual machine (on 64bit win). I mean: in a win 64 install Virtualbox and inside virtualbox create a linux machine with caelinux. This solution is slow and may not work.
Good luck
Marco

				Hi Marco,
yes I use on windows the 2.6.1 (bconverged) and on Linux also 2.6.1 (CAELinus2013).
Have you any experience with contact problems with second order tetrahedron?
My problem: The elements which are involved in the contact be exaggerated deformed on linux (.frd or .exo). On windows I do not have this problem (.frd), but I would like to make my evaluation with Paravis
The reason is probably the conversion of contact elements (non linear to linear). But why only on Linux?
Best Regards,
Alexander
