Burning iso image was created by Luc
Hi everybody,

I have a question related to "burning the ISO image of CAELinux on some DVD"
I didnt go yet in a shop yet, but what type DVD I have to buy?
I know that maybe all of you want to discuss more on the software of CAELinux but how can I burn a file of more than 4 Gb on a DVD?
Can you suggest me options?

thanks,
Luca

Hoi Luca

from the download site:
LiveDVD (ISO image):
Size: 4.0 GB (4292632576 bytes)
MD5Sum: 9d788406fe59de7c4aac40e0102d6f84

you can use any type of dvd to burn this iso.
Most single layer dvds can handle up to 4.7 Gb, more than enough for this iso.
I always use dvd+r, single layer. But dvd-r or dvd-ram may be used. Even dual layer if you like.
I do not use dvd rw, but that is an inheratige from cd rw, that was unable to boot on my pc.

Interest: structural mechanics, solar energy (picture at 'my location' shows too little pv panels)
