Problem starting salome

hi,
I run CAE Linux from DVD on a Persnal Computer with Pentium 4 Processor and 2 GB RAM. When clicking on the salome icon on the desktop (or starting Salome clicking on salome.sh in the Konquerer), the image with the salome-teapot appears at once. Sometimes Salome start and I can work with it, but the image hangs. The progress-beam shows then for example 75% of progress or even just 0%.
What is the reason and what can I do?

I add for more clarity to my post above an error message which I found:

Salome
An internal error occured:
SALOME_ContainerPy.py_FactoryServerPy is not loaded

This could be a problem related to time out. Starting from DVD is slow, and sometimes Salome decides it takes too long to start the services.
The first test to do is to kill Salome when it hangs, and then restart it. The progress should go further. Usually is starts smoothly at the second try.
