error output Code_Saturne was created by Fabio
Hi
i've intalled Caelinux on Ubuntu (x64; with Linux 2.6.32-41), using Virtual Box; now i'm learning to use Salome and Code_Saturne, starting from tutorials on Celinux and online, but i have an output problem with Code_Saturne. I'm not very expert about these softwares (this is my first time with linux and softwares CAD, CFD) so i don't know if the problem is with the mesh in Salome or in Code_Saturne at all, however that is:
-i open tutorial file "pipe.hdf", that i've find in Caelinux
-i follow step by step the online tutorial to do the mesh (such as tutorial file: "pipemesh.hdf")
-i save my project and export the mesh as MED file ("pipe.med")
-than i open Code_Saturne Wizard and follow step by step the online tutorial to compile all data fields (laminar flow, steady flow, pessure, density....)
-at last i save my job and click "run Code_Saturne batch job"
in the output file on terminal, i read:
-if i've select in input "Number of Processor" = 1: "nohup: input ignored and stderr redirected in stdout"
-if i've select in input "Number of Processor" = more than 1 (2,3,4...) : "warning: /opt/saturne-2.0.2/cs-2.0/bin/cs_partition not found
The partition may not have been installed (this is the case if neither METIS nor SCOTCH are available)"
How can i resolve my problem?
if you want, my helper, i could send (as attachments) both Terminal output files, so you car read them.
thanks to everybody....... Fabio

Hello,
It seems that in multiprocessor mode, you only have a warning. If cs_partition is not available, the code uses a backup space-filling curve-based partitioning, so you can ignore the warning if you de not want to bother doing a reinstall of Code_Saturne. The performance difference should be quite small anyways.
In any case, if you get to that message, it means preprocessing (i.e. reading your mesh) has succeeded (using the mesh checking options of the code to get a visualizable outpt of quality criteria is still recommended).
After that, does the code run and produce results ?
Regards,
Yvan

HI Yvan, thank you very much for yor help. I've ignored the warning message and now it's all ok!
I'm able to complete the tutorial and now i'm looking to run my project.
If i'll have another issue i'll send a post.
